What I can garner from the video is that it will feature guns, soldiers and presumably a war. Y’know, the usual stuff.
Interestingly absent from the title of the new game is the ‘Bad Company’ attachment that accompanied the the previous 2 Battlefield titles (Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2) suggesting that EA have plenty more plans in the pipeline for the DICE-developed Battlefield franchise.
Could it be a COD Killer?
The previous 2 Battlefield Bad Company games showcase some absolutely stellar video game development from the very talented games developer DICE and Battlefield Bad Company 2 sold extremely well as a result, with the fact that it was released several months before Call of Duty allowing sales to flourish. However, with the addition of Battlefield 3 to the Q4 release date schedule, it looks like the latter months of 2011 will host a flurry of epic shooters as the likes of Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 and a duo of Call of Duty games are all set for quarter 4 release dates which means that even if Battlefield 3 does end up being a better developed game than the proposed Call of Duty games, it will have some extremely stiff competition in the form of the 2, aforementioned PS3 exclusives (Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3).
