The Mass Effect series of games have always been some of the most forward-thinking available and to the surprise of some, the developer of the 3 games, BioWare, have announced that Mass Effect 4 is in production.
BioWare are currently working our other favourite series of games, with Dragon Age 3 in development at BioWare Edmonton and in a blog post on the official BioWare blog, Yanick Roy, Studio Director at BioWare Montreal (one of the two teams working on Mass Effect 4), said that won’t tell us more about the game “for a good little while” because the two studios are developing the new game together.
What we do know is that Mass Effect 4 will be using the Frostbite Engine and although the Mass Effect trilogy is complete and Mass Effect 4 will be a completely new section of the series developed “in full compliance with the legacy established by the first three chapters”, Mass Effect 4 will be just as diverse as the first three games “including many alien races, a huge galaxy to explore and, of course, a rich and cinematic narrative.”
