It’s going to have guns, it’s going to have soldiers and it’s going to have more explosions than you can shake a ton of C4 at, this much we know about Battlefield 4. But should you want to get a taste of the bombastic gameplay of EA’s premier shooter for yourself, the publisher have set up the Battlefield 4 beta (which we’ll hopefully have a feature on soon), letting anyone who wants to play the game do so.
In the latest PlayStation Store update you’ll be able to find the Battlefield 4 beta available on the store, to jump in the action and take on others ahead of the game’s release, but if you need some encouragement, there’s also a video on the game’s multiplayer to watch too. The game’s lead multiplayer designer, Thomas Andersson, discusses DICE’s level editor as well as what they’re calling ‘Levolution’ (the dynamic map feature) along with some other interesting features that you’ll be able to get your hands on. You can watch it after the break.

Even though the level editor footage seen in the above video is alpha, Battlefield 4 is shaping up nicely and will likely look great on current gen and next-gen too. Versus its closest rival, Call of Duty : Ghosts, EA’s attempt at taking over the first person shooter genre could possibly have more going for it in terms of how revolutionary it is. While dynamically changing levels are not unheard of, the fact that they are so game changing and could genuinely change thing sup in terms of fun, fast-paced multiplayer gameplay, puts EA ahead of the game in comparison to solely single player set pieces.
We’re looking to have a preview of the Battlefield 4 beta on the site soon, so keep a look out for that.
The Battlefield 4 release date is November 12th on PS4 and November 22nd on Xbox One.
