Since launch, The Sims 4 has received two new add-ons in the form of the Outdoor Retreat game pack and the Get to Work expansion. Outdoor Retreat encouraged your Sims to embrace the great outdoors and go camping while the Get to Work expansion introduced several new career paths including doctor, scientist and retailer.
Both Outdoor Retreat and Get to Work were received well but we can’t just host barbeques and hang out with aliens all day now can we? Well we can, but it could become a tad bit boring. As a result, The Sims 4 will soon be getting the Luxury Party Stuff game pack and another big expansion is in the works too.
The Sims 4 Luxury Party Stuff; Is The Sims 4: Pets On the Way Too?
The Sims 4 Luxury Party Stuff game pack was initially revealed by a Twitter user named Ti4go after they rooted around in ‘Spotlight.Package’ in The Sims 4 game folder. According to the information in the folder, Luxury Party Stuff will allow players to “throw a luxurious party and add a touch of style to your Sims’ lives” and it will be released “next week”. It’s not clear how long that info has been in the folder and therefore we don’t know when “next week” is, but a release appears to be on the horizon at least.
Following the leak, the game pack has since been confirmed by publisher EA and developer Maxis, who have released the above teaser photo. The Sims are clearly embracing their stylish sides so it seems like the leaked info is correct. The team behind the game says that more information should be on the way soon so expect trailers and details to drop in the next few days or so.
As for additional Sims 4 expansion packs, in their recent financial call EA said that “another expansion pack, multiple game packs and additional game updates” would be released between now and March 2016, which is when their fiscal year ends.
In The Sims 4 base game there are multiple mentions of pets as the Appreciably Average Digital Camera mentions dog poses and there’s also a fire extinguisher that has been made by “Dalmatian Co.” so it seems reasonable to suggest that The Sims 4: Pets is on the way. Plus, both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 got animal expansions so there’s no reason why The Sims 4 shouldn’t follow suit.
