Earlier this year, EA told investors that by March 2016 we would see “another” Sims 4 expansion pack released, along with multiple game packs. There’s been no official word on that Sims 4 expansion (although it’s most likely The Sims 4 Pets), but we do know that the next game pack will be The Sims 4 Spa Day.
Following on from the chilled out Outdoor Retreat, Luxury Party Stuff, and Perfect Patio Stuff add-ons, The Sims 4 Spa Day will let your Sims to get their ‘rest and relaxation’ on. There will be a series of health and wellness related activities on offer from massages to mudbaths and you can find out more about this game pack after the break.
The Sims 4 Spa Day Details and Price
As a game pack (rather than a stuff pack, which mostly adds cosmetic items), The Sims 4 Spa Day is all about tangible gameplay features. This means that there are several new interactive items in this game pack that could have a significant effect on the way you play – and there’s even a brand new skill for your Sims to level up.
In The Sims 4 Spa Day you’ll be able to place three different developer-made spas (and one new gym) which you can place wherever you feel like it, or, they say, you can make your own. In these spas you can get massages, mudbaths, acupuncture, steam rooms, saunas, and personal training too and, quite cheekily, you’ll be able to WooHoo in them as well. Then, there’s the new ‘Wellness’ skill which Sims can improve by meditating and taking yoga classes, and in levelling up this skill, your Sims will be able to do even more Yoga poses, perform “superior massages” and you can get a “special meditation surprise”.
Overall, The Sims 4 Spa Day introduces some welcome gameplay additions, though some players are frustrated that the game pack is being released so soon after Perfect Patio Stuff. They say that EA and The Sims 4 development team should give fans a bit of breathing space – plus, they still haven’t put toddlers in the game and fans have been waiting for that update since launch.
The Sims 4 Spa Day game pack will be released on July 14, 2015 on PC and Mac. It will cost $19.99/€19.99.
