It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride for PES 2016 players as of late as the data pack (DP1) that Konami released at the end of October featured a number of incomplete roster updates. While the company has apologised and vowed to fix the issue, Konami said that it would take a few weeks to get things back on track.
So it may seem a little unusual then that the company is already lining up the release of the next two data packs. On top of the usual faces, roster changes, and kit updates, that are coming in the second PES 2016 data pack (DP2), the company says that players can expect free UEFA EURO 2016 DLC as well.
PES 2016 UEFA EURO 2016 DLC
DP2, Konami says, will introduce the Maracana Stadium, along with national team kits, even more player faces, and updates for player rosters. This will be released some time in December (though an exact data has yet to be confirmed). The free EUFA EURO 2016 DLC will also be available to “existing PES 2016 users”, though it’s unclear whether that means that people who don’t already own the game will have to pay extra for it.
Also unclear is exactly what that EURO 2016 DLC will offer, as all we know is that it will come in the form of a data pack. Given how well PES 2016‘s first data pack went some fans are understandably wary but the following statement from Football & Alliances Director Erik Bladinieres is reassuring:
“It has been a difficult few months for the fans in how we have been delivering content in our recent Data Packs, with some items missing that our consumers expected. The PES Production team appreciate their fans’ support and want to reward their support and bring back confidence in the Data Pack releases. With this announcement, we hope we can regain their trust.
The next Data Pack is scheduled for early December, including the Maracana stadium, more faces, new national team kits, club teams and the player roster which was confirmed on October 19th. We strive to keep delivering quality content to our fans, for free. The content of the UEFA EURO 2016 content has yet to be defined, but all content delivered by Data Pack featuring EURO for next year’s prestigious tournament will be free to all existing users.”
