LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Announced
Being developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will allow players to “relive the epic action from the blockbuster film in a fun-filled, humorous way that only a LEGO game can offer”. According to a press release, the game also hopes to bridge the gap between The Force Awakens and Return of the Jedi, “providing additional insight about the new movie and its characters”, so this could be a must-play titles for die-hards.
A good many characters from the film will be featured, including Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Kylo Ren and BB-8 and players will also be able to go to Jakku, Starkiller Base and other “iconic Star Wars locales”. And while it may not be a character (though it’s iconic all the same), you can also fly the Millennium Falcon (along with a “multitude” of other vehicles) during the game’s dogfights in space.
Other “innovative” gameplay we can expect, say TT Games and Warner Bros., is the Multi-Builds system in which LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens players can choose from different building options to advance the game. Moreover, there are Blaster Battles (where players will fight to drive back the First Order) and there are arena-based battles too. PS4 and PS3 players will also have exclusive access to the Droid Character Pack and the Phantom Limb Level Pack but there are few details about that DLC right now.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on June 28 on PC, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
