In mythology RPG Moon Hunters, players take on the role of a character whose actions can have a very real impact on their fictional world, even seeing them deemed a ‘legend’. From decisions that “show your personality and create your reputation” (such as donating blood or flirting with everybody), there are also beliefs and customs to learn, various tribes to meet and, of course, enemies to battle.
Developer Kitfox Games recently announced the game’s PC release date as February 25, 2016 PC (with PS3, PS4 and PS Vita releases coming sometime after). Unfortunately, just weeks before that planned release date, Moon Hunters has been delayed. Find out more after the break.

Moon Hunters PC Release Date Delayed
In a post on the game’s Kickstarter page, Tanya Short, the designer and producer of Moon Hunters explains that the game will now arrive on PC on March 10, 2016, with a Mac and Linux release to follow:
“I sincerely apologize for the delay, but I also guarantee that the wait will be worth it! The game is coming along swimmingly and those 2 weeks will mean the world to the stability of the game, especially in online play.
Because of this delay, we were able to overhaul the online save/load system and support dropped connections much better. Previously, there was a chance you’d lose all of your progress if someone disconnected! So, I’m glad Marcelo has that extra time to make things clean and tidy.”
While the delay will certainly be disappointed to those who supported the game on the Square Enix Collective (where it had 83% ‘yes’ votes) and to those who backed the game on Kickstarter (where it raised over three times of its initial funding goal), this those online issues threatening to prevent players from creating legends together, no one would want the Kitfox team to rush the game for the sake of punctuality.
Moon Hunters will be available from GOG.com, Steam, Itch.io and Humble. It will also be available DRM-free.
