Riot Games’ MOBA League of Legends has changed a lot since its introduction in 2009 and it means that champions need tweaks to ‘fit in’ with how the game currently exists. Riot has introduced several champion reworks over the the last year including changes to hammer-wielding Yordle Poppy and several marksman champions reworks too.
The next League of Legends champion to get the rework treatment is Taric, a champion who is often talked about more for his long, flowing locks than his actual in-game strength. The Taric rework, along with a new skin for Diana will be available in League of Legends patch 6.8, and Riot Games has just announced the release date.

Taric Champion Spotlight via League of Legends
The Taric champion update has been in the works for quite some time, and judging by the champion spotlight above, it does not disappoint. Taric, The Shield of Valroan as he is now known, will continue to be a tanky support, with his abilities better suited to healing and protecting his allies as well as stunning enemies so that his teammates can get a kill. Taric’s skins (Emerald Taric, Armor of the Fifth Age Taric and Bloodstone Taric) have been updated too.
Also introduced in League of Legends patch 6.8 is the Infernal Diana skin. The Infernal Diana skin will cost 1350 RP once it’s released, and you can watch the skin spotlight for it here.
Some of the champion balance changes included in League of Legends patch 6.8 are also listed below:
- Ekko: Ekko’s passive base damage has been lowered to 3% missing HP from 5% missing HP, while his passive AP ratio has been increased to 1% per 33 AP from 1% per 50 AP. Moreover, Ekko’s passive now does a minimum 15 damage to minions.
- Kog’Maw: The armor/magic resist shred from Kog’Maw’s Caustic Spittle has been increased to 20/22/24/26/28 from 12/16/20/24/28, while the base damage from Bio-Arcane Barrage has been decreased to 4/8/12/16/20 from 10/15/20/25/30.
- Miss Fortune: The attack speed duration on Miss Fortune’s Strut has been increased to 4 seconds from 3 seconds while its cooldown is now 12 seconds up from 8 seconds and the cooldown timer begins when it is cast (instead of when the buff expires). Moreover, applying Love Tap no longer leads to an extended duration of Strut, but when Strut is on cooldown Love Tap does reduce its cooldown time by a certain amount of seconds (it starts at 2 seconds and scales with cooldown reduction items).
