For months, The Sims 4 players have been eager for more news about restaurant-themed DLC. The game’s developers continued to tease players, noting that they couldn’t wait to “serve up” some “fresh info,” and in the spring and summer preview, a restaurant-themed DLC pack was officially confirmed. Though, much to players’ dismay, it was neither titled nor detailed.
Almost a month later and The Sims 4 development team is finally ready to reveal all, having now officially announced The Sims 4 Dine Out game pack. Various food-related features will be introduced in the paid-for add-on, including the ability to create restaurants. Find out more after the break.

The Sims 4 Dine Out Announced
In The Sims 4 Dine Out, players will be able to head to pre-made restaurants either by themselves or in groups. The biggest feature of the game pack by far though, is that players will be able to create their very own restaurants, “customizing the venue to be a cool hole in the wall or upscale dining experience.”
Dine Out also includes Host, Waiter and Chef stations and experimental new foods. There’s no word on what those experimental foods are just yet, but Sims’ fav dishes will be available too. Other features include the ability to take photos of a meal (as well as collecting and decorating with the photos) and there’s the ability to customise the restaurant’s logo as well.
Moreover, The Sims 4 Dine Out will work without the career-focused expansion pack The Sims 4 Get to Work. While this is certainly good news for players who would rather run a restaurant than become a photographer or the owner of a bakery (two career paths available in Get to Work), some players have suggested that Dine Out’s content could have just been included in Get to Work rather than offered as a separate add-on. More features will be revealed in the run up to Dine Out’s release, so perhaps that opinion will change.
The Sims 4 Dine Out will be released on June 7 on PC and Mac.
