Following a disappointing period of silence about future Sims 4 content, the team behind the popular god-hand game recently appeased fans by revealing that restaurant-themed and child-themed DLC packs were on the way. The Sims 4 Dine Out game pack delivered on the foodie front, but players are still awaiting news on the content regarding younger characters.
As fans wait for publisher EA to reveal all about the child-themed DLC, some information about the content has been revealed online, including its name and the window for its release date. Moreover, information about another Sims 4 content pack has also leaked, with players reportedly set to get ‘Backyard Stuff’ at some point too. Find out more after the break.
The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff + Backyard Stuff
According to the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board), The Sims 4’s upcoming child-themed stuff pack will be called The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff. This was confirmed by a listing on the organisation’s website and though the listing has since been deleted, as the organisation likely realised it had been posted too soon, we were quick enough to get a screenshot before it was taken down (see the image above).
In other Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff news, Sims producer Graham Nardone confirmed on Twitter that “the kids themed SP [Stuff Pack] will be out sometime in June.” Unfortunately, Nardone was unable to share specifics regarding the pack’s release date, but given that there are only two and a half weeks left of the month, either way fans shouldn’t be waiting too long to play it.
Beyond the kids themed stuff pack, it seems that The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff may also be on the way. Spotted by SimsDomination, a corporation called Synnex (which “brings the most-relevant technology solutions to the IT and consumer electronics markets” and works with EA, Rockstar Games, Razer and others) listed The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff on its website though the listing now appears to have been removed.
If The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff really is on the way, it will be interesting to see how the Sims 4 development team differentiates the DLC from the game’s existing outdoors-y content packs. Not only was there the Outdoor Retreat game pack in 2015 but the Romantic Garden Stuff pack was also released just before Valentine’s Day this year, so players may well be reluctant to buy another nature related add-on if it doesn’t offer something substantially different to what’s available.
