A new Uncharted: The Lost Legacy trailer from E3 2017 highlights Chloe and Nadine’s relationship. The two female protagonists of the upcoming Uncharted game are unlikely allies as they search for the Tusk of Ganesh and this new footage shows just how strained their dynamic can be at times.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was one of several games with female leads to be shown during the Sony press conference, with new Horizon Zero Dawn DLC also being announced.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Trailer – E3 2017
As Chloe figured out in the last trailer for the game, all she and Nadine need to do to find the Tusk is to locate the other weapons features in the mythical battle. This new Uncharted: The Lost Legacy video shows the two women working together to make their way towards the prize.
In one scene, Nadine’s leg is all that stops Chloe from falling to her death and in another, Nadine delivers a swift kick to the face of an enemy who is about to shoot Chloe in the head. And in yet another scene, Nadine can be seen saving Chloe from falling off of the edge of a cliff. That’s what friends are for, I suppose.
But with that said, the two leads aren’t exactly friends. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will highlight their shaky alliance and in the trailer, Nadine yells at Chloe and accuses her of lying. Chloe admits that she partnered up with the mercenary because of her history with the game’s antagonist, Asav. Nadine punches Chloe in the face.
For those hoping that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy would be a sort of feel-good game about two (probably platonic) gal pals working to find treasure, then they will be disappointed. But what the upcoming Naughty Dog adventure does look like is a fantastic action romp starring two unlikely female allies helping each other when it counts and calling each other out when they deserve it.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released on August 22 exclusively for PS4.
