Bandai Namco announces Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time for PC and PS4. The game is set to be an action RPG based on the hit anime series, Little Witch Academia, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
Chamber of Time is just the latest anime video game spin-off, with RWBY: Grimm Eclipse also making its debut last year.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time Gameplay Details and Screenshots
In the Little Witch Academia anime series a girl named Atsuko “Akko” Kagari enrolls in the Luna Nova Magical Academy. Inspired by a famous witch named Shiny Chariot, Akko wants to train to become a witch too. But ahead of their summer break, Akko and her friends go on an adventure to investigate the mystery surrounding the Seven Wonders, which caused the Luna Nova.
Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time will feature main characters from the anime, but promises “original storylines.” Bandai Namco also describes the game as “a heart-pounding 3D action RPG beat ‘em up,” but unfortunately it did not show the game in action.
The lack of gameplay footage is disappointing but Bandai Namco will show off the game in action sooner rather than later. Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time has a PS4 release date of November 30 in Japan, which means that the company doesn’t have a great deal of time to promote the game. In the meantime, screenshots dotted about this post should also give fans an idea of how the game will play.
It should be noted that the Little Witch Academia game will be headed west too – but fans in Europe and the Americas will have to wait until next year to play it. Bandai Namco confirms that the game will be released on PS4 and PC (via Steam) in early 2018, though an exact release date hasn’t been provided.
