Mages of Mystralia gets a PS4 release date from developer Borealys Games. The game stars a young female mage who finds herself going on a quest in a world where performing magic is outlawed.
Mages of Mystralia was released on Windows PC earlier this year, with players already enjoying its fantasy universe.
Mages of Mystralia PS4 Release is This Month
Developer Borealys Games reveals that the Mages of Mystralia PS4 release date is August 22. The game was also confirmed for an Xbox One release, but a date for that version of the game has yet to be announced.
When Mages of Mystralia arrives on consoles, fans can expect all of the same features included in the PC version. This includes the game’s ‘unlikely’ female protagonist Zia who is off on an adventure to learn how to control and wield her magical powers in a world where they have been banned.
The story is written by Ed Greenwood, who is best known for creating the Forgotten Realms world for Dungeons and Dragons. Forgotten Realms also went on to inspire Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights, so it’s only fitting that Greenwood has now crafted a video game narrative.
Zia’s adventure will also see her battle fierce enemies (such as the frosty lizard-like monster above) and figure out how to tackle various puzzles. Mages of Mystralia has a huge spell-crafting feature with plenty of combinations that will allow players to bypass these obstacles.
From a basic fireball, to attacks that ricochet or can be sent in their multiples with each cast, players have a lot of room to build around their play styles and also to embrace their creativity. Likewise, it also gives players enough room to forge a new play style for themselves and get over the challenges by breaking out of the box.
