The Sims 4 will include cheat support as well as the transgender character update when it launches on PS4 and Xbox One later this year. The developers behind the game also reveal additional plans to bring more features and content from the PC version of the game.
The Sims 4 was announced for PS4 and Xbox One last week, with publisher EA announcing a release date and pre-order bonuses for the console version of the game.

Over the last week, The Sims 4 development team has steadily been confirming more details about the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. Writing on Twitter, senior producer Michael Duke confirmed that the game would offer cheat support at launch, however this would disable PS4 trophies and Xbox One achievements for players who do decide to use them.
In a separate FAQ for the game, EA also confirmed that the features from The Sims 4 gender update and Create A Sim overhaul would also be included in the PS4 and Xbox One release. This particular update allowed players to create transgender and non-binary Sims for the first time in the series’ history, removing restrictions on gendered clothing as well as voice and walk pattern options.
But these aren’t the only things from the PC version of the game that The Sims 4 players on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to enjoy. Writing on the game’s official forums, SimGuruDrake from the development team stated that “we plan to roll out DLC we’ve released to the console versions.”
It’s unclear which content will be made available first as the expansions, like The Sims 4 Get Together is a lot more substantial than the likes of The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff pack. However, SimGuruDrake did confirm that console players will not get access to future DLC before those on PC, which is good news for those on PC who feared that they would somehow get the short end of the stick following the console launch.
The Sims 4 will be released on November 17 for PS4 and Xbox One.
