The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs expansion pack gets a brand new trailer. The new footage showcases the Create a Pet feature from the DLC and hints at all of the weird, wonderful and impossibly cute designs and get-ups that players can put together for their furry friends.
The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs Lets You Put Bowties on Puppies
This latest trailer for The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs expansion pack highlights the variety of ways that you’ll be able to decorate and design your pet. First, players must choose the size and the breed, or whether their new pet will be a mix of two breeds.
Once that’s set, the rest of the pet’s characteristics can be customized. Will the pet have a long tail or a short tail? How long do you want their coat to be? And what color do you want their coat to be?
There seems to be an overwhelming amount of choices in the coat colouring, with some examples being the ‘RGB Kitty’ that has rainbow fur and a dog that looks like it’s made of patchwork. The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs players also have access to stencils, with the trailer showcasing an adorable dog with a stencilled on bowtie.
The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs Create a Pet also borrows a few features from The Sims 4 Create a Sim mode (the one for human Sims). For example, players can click and drag sections of the pet to change how they look (e.g pulling cheeks to make them bigger) like you can for human Sims. Additionally, the pets each have their own personality traits (e.g smart, lazy, and curious) meaning you can create the ideal pet-friend for your Sim.
There’s an awful lot of content to coo over in this new trailer, such as the dog that’s wearing a sweater or the cat dressed up as a sushi roll. The cutest moment by far, though, is the image above of the toddler cuddling a puppy. If there was only one reason to buy the Cats and Dogs expansion pack, then that would be it.
The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs will be released on November 10, 2017 on Windows PC and Mac.
