The Sims 4 may be getting a witches and wizards expansion pack, according to recently uncovered teasers. It seems that the game’s development team may have included a few hints regarding the game’s future into the latest Sims 4 DLC.
The most recent Sims 4 expansion pack was The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs which finally introduced pets to the game after fans spent months requesting the gameplay feature.

Eagle-eyed fans of The Sims 4 have spotted what appear to be some teasers for upcoming DLC. In The Sims 4 Laundry Day, the game pack which was released this month, several of the item descriptions seem to hint at a magical new update. The Sims 1, 2 and 3 all received magical-themed DLC packs and The Sims 4 Romantic Garden Stuff introduced a magical gameplay item too.
As highlighted in the screenshots above, Laundry Day includes a laundry detergent brand called “Dabra Laundry Detergent” in reference to the famous magic word, “abracadabra.”
There’s also a plant called the Barry Potter’s Potted Plant (an obvious reference to fictional wizard Harry Potter) that references a magical phrase in its description. Then there’s the Wreath of Living Brambles which is described as a “MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP” and its description is styled like a magical item in a fantasy RPG.
I'm going to throw just a bit more fuel on the speculation fire. Here's a screenshot from the last Quarterly teaser. I wonder why they chose to put that particular poster on the wall. Hmm…🤔 pic.twitter.com/LBaTp26YPS

The game pack also introduces a decorative item called the Simolenean Mat and its description references “markers of the ancient Simolenean calendar,” and also says “The date they point to is August 16th, 2032. What grim future did our ancestors predict? What calamity awaits? Only time will tell…” It’s worth noting that The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs was announced last year on August 21, during the EA press conference at Gamescom.
Perhaps the biggest hint, though, comes from the most recent quarterly teaser trailer which hints at future Sims 4 DLC. One item briefly featured in the trailer is the Henry Puffer Poster, a poster that features “everyone’s favorite kid wizard” who “graduated from books to movies and now to your wall!”
Either someone on The Sims 4 development team really loves Harry Potter, or a witches and wizards expansion pack is on the way. Watch this space.
