Later this year, Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4 will both attempt to reboot their respective music rhythm game series. But with the abundance of music rhythm games being a key reason why these franchises had to go into hiatus in the first place, how will they entice us into picking up plastic peripherals and rocking out again?
Rock Band 4 has an RPG campaign, giving players the freedom to choose how their band takes over the world. Guitar Hero Live, on the other hand, is using ‘live concert’ gameplay as its selling point along with a new feature called Guitar Hero TV. At E3 2015 publisher Activision revealed more info about the Guitar Hero TV mode and they also announced the Guitar Hero Live release date.
