By far the best part about Christmas (asides from the many Christmas puds, spuds and festive cheer) are the deals. This holiday has thrown up a good many of them including the (still ongoing) Ubisoft sale and the Harmonix Rock Band sale that we announced earlier. But apparently, with just over a week left until the festive season is done and dusted our capitalist overlords aren’t done yet. The latest bargain comes from UK retailer GAME who are offering a PS4 bundle including GTA V, The Last of Us: Remastered, Driveclub and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare all for just £350. Find out more after the break.
So far in GTA V we know just how the protagonists, family man Michael, the ambitious and street-smart Franklin and the trailer park living Trevor will make the most of the sprawling Los Santos and Blaine County map on offer to us. We even know what antics they’ll be getting up into in the game, but now, with these new GTA V screenshots we’ll know how they will get from point A to point B too.
In these fresh GTA V screenshots from Rockstar we see that the three men we’re tasked with controlling certainly don’t shy away from speed. Quadbikes, fast cars, boats, marine helicopters and even winged suits for base jumping will be available to us once the game launches later this year. We’re going to be able to go scuba diving too, in case deep sea exploration is more to your taste and as the screens after the break suggests, a special suit will be employed, meaning that Rockstar are keeping to realism.
Also on show in the new GTA V screenshots are the three men just going about their day (on foot). While one sees Michael with a gun, the more interesting shot of his character is the one of him with earplugs in, suggesting that Rockstar may let us play music in-game, perhaps via a character’s music player. We’ll know more once Rockstar release more info about the game.

The next game in Rockstar Games’ behemoth sandbox series, GTA 5, has had the black cloud of a ‘Spring release date’ since that GTA 5 trailer debuted all the way in December. Release was almost guaranteed, as it always is with the Grand Theft Auto games, that our next outing in los Santos would debut in Q1, but with a small room for uncertainty, Rockstar have pushed the GTA 5 release date back to September.
Speaking of the new September 17th release date, the official word from Rockstar is that it’s being pushed back “in order to allow additional development time” but it sounds like the ever-excellent dev has bitten off more than it can chew with players now in control of three protagonists instead of one and that the GTA 5 multiplayer that Rockstar say will “redefine open-world games” needed a little more time in the Game of the Year oven before it’s deemed worthy of the praise that this game is no doubt going to get.
Given that September is an entire 7 months away, Rockstar have all the time in the world to put the finishing touches on the “deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet” that they’ve promised us.
The GTA 5 release date is September 17th, 2013. – Click here to pre-order it now.

Continuing to well and truly push the boat out with their games, Rockstar’s tongue in cheek, rags-to-riches series, Grand Theft Auto is back with GTA 5 trailer #2, giving us a preview of Los Santos’ (the fictional California-like world of GTA 5) craziest and wealthiest characters as we meet the three characters that will be playable at the GTA 5 release date.
Back in the series are planes, helicopters, cars (some fast, some rust-bucket-y) as well as high-speed chases, less than legal dealings and those that anyone old enough for a Winter heating benefit would call “hoodlums.”, as well as some extremely pretty cutscene footage showing that GTA 5 is completely obliterating the graphical and lighting standards set by GTA IV all the way back in 2008.

It appears that the HMV website has confirmed the GTA 5 release date.
Developer of the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar Games, have yet to *officially* confirm the release date but with HMV’s retailing rival Zavvi stating on their website that Rockstar have yet to tell them the release date (opting instead to use a placeholder) and HMV making a point not do either, it’s likely that this is the GTA 5 release date and someone on the HMV website staff has made a huge error.

When it comes to appealing to their fanbase, Rockstar really are the experts, after we brayed like injured wolves on their doorsteps for morsels, scraps, just anything GTA 5 related, they’ve released two new GTA 5 screenshots to shut us up and make us go away (until we come back again begging for GTA V gameplay footage).
Living up to its translated name of “The Saints”, the fictional GTA 5 setting of Los Santos is proving to be just as we expected – it looks a lot like real life city, “The Angels”/Los Angeles. And while the screenshots don’t do much, other than confirming our thoughts that GTA 5 is really, really pretty, like, put these screenshots in Vendi couture and send them down a runway sort of gorgeous, what the new GTA 5 screenshots do is sate our appetites, tiding us over as we wait for GTA 5 gameplay footage, which developer and publisher of the franchise, Rockstar Games, say that they will not be revealing “for a while yet”.
In any case, you can see GTA 5’s visual awesomeness after the break.

Put down the pitchforks!
Sleeping Dogs does resemble Grand Theft Auto somewhat, please don’t set my house on fire! And to the person who just threw a brick at my house – you’ll be receiving a bill in the mail.
The latest Sleeping Dogs dev diary, ‘undercover Hong Kong’, features both an insight into how the game came to be (Hong Kong slasher flicks), a bit of intel onto how the Triads do what they do (probably best to avoid them, yeah) and a smattering of gameplay footage, which, yes, does resemble GTA, slightly.
The driving looks weighted, the combat look meaty and I can’t wait to get my hands on it, see for yourself after the break.

There are idiots on the Internet. You know it, I know it and *most* of the people on Yahoo Answers prove that statement to be true. Though once in a blue moon these idiots stop typing out words in L337 speak and ask some pretty thought-provoking stuff.
I’ve rounded up a few of the gems I’ve seen this week, complete with my own answers (note : I’m considering making this a regular feature so please tell me what you think of this post in the comments!)

Usually when I write posts about new trailers or newly released screenshots, I’ll accompany the media with a little introductory paragraph followed by a line of text that tells you to read after the break for the actual footage. This time around there’s no point in me babbling on about how good the game looks or how talented the developer is because you just want me to shut up and post the trailer already, in fact you’ve probably already started watching it and I could quote Rick Astley lyrics and you’d have no idea…
For the one of you who stuck around and read my rambling (thanks Mum!), click ‘Read More’ to continue on to the trailer.
