Have you heard the Tomb Raider news? Yes, Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to 2013’s incredible Tomb Raider title was recently announced at E3 2014. But what about the other great Tomb Raider news – Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is on the way too to bring us something delicious to whet our appetites while we wait for Lara’s bigger budget outfit. Like most other game sites, we run on willpower, a non-existent budget and a love of gaming, but unlike other sites, J Station X is also fuelled by a whole lot of anger and a little bit of indignation that the video game industry that we know and love still continuously fails to represent women in games, people of colour and those who identify as LGBTQ. It’s for that reason that I’ve put together the first annual Video Game Diversity Report so that we can yell back statistics when the mob bangs on the door protesting that gaming must stay as a Straight, White Boys Club. Read my findings after the break.
In a reveal that’s about as well concealed as an elephant hiding behind a curtain, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was announced for next-gen consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, this weekend at the Spike VGX Awards 2013. We saw this one coming a mile off, mostly down to the fact that Amazon Italy leaked it a few weeks ago but now, letting their inconspicuous cat out of the bag, Square Enix have released a Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition trailer and announced the release date.
According to reports, the answer to that question is very much yes. Lara Croft could soon be back, kicking ass, taking names and breaking down gender stereotypes and expectations as Tomb Raider once again, but this time on PS4 and Xbox One. We’ve got the details after the break.
How was your Valentine’s Day? Did you have a wonderful evening spending time with your loved one, eating a myriad of clichéd heart-shaped foods, or was it an abysmal, depressing turn of events, that resulted in a lovesick mess of feelings?
Just imagine being able to trade in that terrible company to hang out with (or even romance) one of the video game characters of your dreams, in either a ‘best bro’ or a ‘future Mrs. Video Gamer’ sort of way…

Back in December, a new issue of the US magazine Game Informer hit the shelves, bringing with it delightful news of a brand spanking new Lara Croft game. Adding to the very little that we know about the game, the Official Xbox 360 Magazine has a few things about the game that you should know.
