Back in September, developer Grey Alien Games and publisher Positech Games announced Shadowhand, an 18th century CCG (collectible card game). In Shadowhand, we play as Lady Darkmoor, who’s part of high society by day and is a notorious highwaywoman named ShadowHand by night. It’s up to players to use cards to defeat enemies, stop corruption, recover a family jewel and “safeguard a woman she holds dear” in the process.
Based on the game’s stereotype-breaking lead, a narrative that promises to be backed up by a decent story, and Grey Alien Games’ previous work on (the very good card title) Regency Solitaire, Shadowhand already had us hooked. The new Shadowhand gameplay trailer only justifies that interest, giving us the first look at the game’s card-based battles and its character customisation.
