“The Injustice saga is finally complete,” says the narrator of this Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition trailer and by the power invested in Batman’s trusty toolbelt, you’d better believe him, lest one of his super-friends power punch you around the moon for talking ill about NetherRealm Studios’ upgraded beat-em-up. It’s set to be a launch title for the PS4, a new game for PS Vita and a re-release for PS3 and Xbox 360, giving fans of DC’s famed cast of heroes and villains a chance to punch the supersnot out of each other before standalone story titles get granted to all of them. Needless to say, it’s out on those platforms soon and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition has gotten a lovely new trailer to explain what’s so special about its special powers.
You’ve probably heard of it, right? A little console called the PS4? Thought so. But Friday’s ages away if you’re waiting for the console’s North America release date (the 29th of November is an even longer wait for those of us in Europe) and so you may well need a reminder as to what Sony’s brand spanking new console can do. Luckily, PS4 exclusive title inFamous: Second Son is plenty to get all pent up and hot under the collar about as lead Delsin Rowe’s bag of super-powered gameplay tricks have been shown off at a New York event. You can see these new inFamous: Second Son screenshots below.
Some games are all talk, with gimmicks out the wazoo like a marketer gone mad and features that they just can’t back up. NBA 2K14 is most definitely not one of those games. While other sports sims are happy to stick trademarked titles over their new features, this NBA 2K14 video just wants to show them off and when they look this good and can be supported with real, actual gameplay, 2K would be crazy not to.
In 2012, bad news rang in the ears of card gaming and RPG fans, as, after 10 years, the original Ateil was being switched off, shut down and packaged up, along with its battle grids, ranged fighting and addictive gameplay. Now, in 2013, a star-studded group of the original game’s developers are teaming up to make Alteil: Horizons, the next best card-based RPG.
Sometimes, you just want a change. You want fresh, new, original takes on genres that you love while the publisher wants reskinned sequels like a plucked chicken with a coat on. But we’ve had 7 whole years of that and the time is now to throw the system out the window attached to a giant lead balloon, and Sony’s upcoming PS4, could be the very console to start that revolution.
According to Sony, the answer is ‘yes’. You could debate the next-gen titling of the Wii U until the cows, the sheep and the pigs come home, but when it comes to the gaming extravaganza that is this November, the PS4 will really only be going toe to toe with Microsoft’s answer to that question – ‘no, it’s the Xbox One’. Unfortunately, the wider gaming media, plus you and I, and anyone else who turns on the tellybox from now until Christmas, will be forced to watch this slinging match between the two take place and Sony’s new PS4 ‘Best Place to Play’ trailer is the latest well-placed jab in the green and black box’s direction.
From the start, the PS4 has been positioned as a pure gaming console, with the added media extras – be it your Netflix or your YouTube – being like the gravy on an otherwise delectable rack of roast meat and this new video for the console seems to solidify that. Stats ahoy from Sony as they claim that there are over 180 games in development for the PS4 which is approximately quadruple the amount of games that I’m lucky enough to own on PS3. No doubts that we won’t be stuck for choice then and you can watch the trailer, complete with lots of lovely clips of PS4 gameplay footage after the jump.

Let it be said that Battlefield 4 does not have big shoes to fill in terms of its story. More like tiny, shrunken down clogs that its predecessor left behind, EA’s next big, bombastic shooter won’t have to do much to impress after the bitter taste that BF3’s double crossing plot left behind. But leaving the past in the cold like a dog that got its teeth on your favourite pair of loafers, Battlefield 4’s story looks like it’s going to be bigger, bolder and most importantly, better, than ever before.
What’s also key with Battlefield 4’s story is that it isn’t just fighting against past iterations, it’s also going up against the long reigning king of FPS sales that is Call of Duty: Ghosts. But unlike Activision’s fire-powered offering, EA’s seems to be doubling down on both the explosive factor (and those orange clouds of heat do look mighty impressive) as well as the interactions between a squad (which you could argue was perfected in other Battlefield series – Bad Company). And, showcasing that now in video form, is the Battlefield 4 story trailer, which you can watch after the break.

With Madden NFL 25 on next-gen consoles, EA are looking to avoid getting sacked on a third down by making the right play that’s going to see them cruise past the redzone to score an all important touchdown. Meanwhile, we’re trying not to get tackled by an LT for all of those cheesy American football references. The point at hand is that with the current gen version of Madden NFL 25 already on store shelves, EA now have to prove that the game is worth a purchase on PS4 and Xbox One and now, with the help of a two minute trailer, the likelihood of us all shelling out for the title has just gotten a little bit higher.
In the 120+ seconds worth of Madden NFL 25 gameplay footage (it wasn’t clear as to whether what’s in the trailer was running on PS4 or Xbox One) EA introduce us to all of the fancy new branded features that their title will be running down the field with. ‘Player Sense’ is reportedly set to make characters more like intelligent, game aware players and less like reanimated muscly corpses while ‘True Step’ is the slightly gimmicky name EA are giving to Madden NFL 25’s new motion capabilities and you can watch both features in action after the break.

Should you like your gaming news in tasty, morsel sized scraps, this brand new Elder Scrolls Online trailer will be worth watching. Bethesda’s upcoming massively multiplayer online title, based within their hugely popular universe, will offer your standard quests, exploration and teaming up fare, but given that its the next title in the franchise after the (mostly) rather good Skyrim, the Elder Scrolls Online will have some very big boots to fill.
One way that Bethesda are ensuring that the Elder Scrolls Online is nothing short of the finest MMO that you can shake a ginormous, open world map at is by making character creation the very best that they can, which is important to players given the draw of what will undoubtedly be a hugely popular game. To show off the high quality of their face and body sculpting feature, they’ve released a new trailer, complete with blue hair, rotund stomachs and enough tattoos to make a biker gang jealous and you can watch it after the break.

“Incredibly beautiful” is how we described the PS3 version of 2K’s premier basketball sim in our NBA 2K14 review and we even went on to call it “the Mona Lisa” of iterations when pitted against NBA 2K13 but oh how wrong we were. For the real star of the show is NBA 2K14 on PS4, the glorious next generation version of a game that was already exceptional. When games are launch titles on a console, they make big promises, with NBA 2K14 on PS4 being no exception, but in a new gameplay trailer, it looks set to deliver.
In the new trailer, titled ‘OMG’, you’re informed that all of the gameplay included is “PS4 in-game footage taken from various camera angles” a statement which in itself is 2K daring to be bold and take a gamble with NBA 2K14’s graphical fidelity. They were right to do so too, because this game looks insanely good, like looking through a fresh pair of contacts when you were previously wearing glasses smeared with butter and clay. The King of Hoops, Lebron James himself is of course featured, being the game’s cover star, along with LA Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and Houston Rockets’ James Harden all in tow for a dunk and three-point-a-thon which you can enjoy after the break.
