The ability to blow stuff up in video games is one of the medium’s most simple pleasures. It’s the way gorgeous plumes of flames and smoke that puff up each time you get a direct hit, it’s the way your bullets and missiles zip through basic enemies like a knife through butter and it’s the sudden thrill when you realise that you’ve destroyed all of your opponents, with none of them being able to stop you.
It’s this gameplay joy that Stellar Jockeys’ new game, Brigador, could deliver. A tactical mech blaster, Brigador gets you to pick one of three factions and then shoot your way through a city called Solo Nobre. It’ll be released on Steam Early Access in October and you can watch a brand new trailer for it after the break.
