When Wanderlust: Rebirth was released in 2011, it had all of the right ingredients for a fantastic co-op adventure. It let four players pick classes, work together and take down enemies, with some RPG elements added in for good measure. But the biggest criticism players had of the game was that it was too linear, with Rebirth‘s chapter-like structure making them feel hedged in.
Developer Yeti Trunk couldn’t fix that without ripping things up and starting again, turning Wanderlust: Rebirth into a different game entirely. So, the next best thing? To make a different game entirely. That game is Wanderlust Adventures – the online, open-world RPG that fans asked for – and it’s just been released on Steam.
